Royal Plugging Ceremony alert Farmers to Farm Rice

There are two main seasons in Cambodia,Rainy season and Dry season.Rainy season is a farming rice season,because in this season there is enough water to farm.Rice is not like other plant,it need more water.Our ancient produced lots of ceremony for us and all of them showing our culture and traditional.Every year, our farmer always want to know the forecast of weather for them to be easy planting.This method is still existing in our farmer concept.They still believe in foretell of future.This is not mean that we do not use the weather forecast system to forecast the weather,but this is our traditional and believe.

School closed on Visak Bochea Day

Visak Bochea is a day of born,enlightenment,and nirvana day (death) of the Lord Buddha. Buddhism​ exist 2557 years old now.For the Buddhist countries, including Cambodia is celebrating Visak Bochea to obey the lord Buddha. Visak Buchea was internationally recognized as holiday by the United Nations in 2000. Visak Bochea day is a religious ceremony and national holiday in Cambodia. Buddhist followers go to pagoda to celebrate ceremony to obey the Lord Buddha.Government official, School,and others company are closed on this holiday.Cambodia is Buddhist country most of citizen follow Buddhism.This ceremony is not only celebrated in Cambodia,but also in others countries that has Cambodian citizen.
